A review of the Monument Valley puzzle game

For projects, such designs are not at all new. The work of renowned painter Mauritz Cornelis Escher has inspired other developers.

But the development studio of this project has managed to do much more. Not only are all of Escher’s amazing designs successfully replicated here. It also conveys the liveliness that is characteristic of all his best creations. The world is populated by very interesting, but also quite strange creatures. They can walk on ceilings and walls, upside down, upside down and backwards.

Main character

You’ll be looking after a princess. Her name is Ida. It’s very difficult to say where she comes from. What she needs, also difficult to understand. That said, the developers of the project have decided to do without words. Small annotations are attached to the levels.

Sometimes some of the encounters will utter very strange, but very succinct monologues. The presentation in this project is also interesting. Here, everything is communicated in a completely allegorical form or in a straightforward manner. If you include your imagination, you can create a big picture.

The essence of the game Monument Valley

In this project, you will be the guide. You need to find a way for the heroine and pave it. You will manage all the details and the whole space. You will be able to control the construction. Flip it, twist it, shift it, unfold it or fold it. Do everything to solve problems at a certain level.

You won’t have to work hard to pass. Each answer to all the questions that arise does not come immediately. But it happens by itself. And the answers you get are constantly surprising. Simply turn a lever or look at the labyrinth from a completely new angle.

Everything is suddenly transformed in a bizarre way. New possibilities and sides will open up. All the riddles are extremely simple. But they’re also incredibly clever. They very rarely involve ideas you’re already familiar with. Sometimes you will need to deliberately rotate the level so that two unconnected platforms form a bridge.

Game mechanics

Sometimes it’s worth playing with blocks. You can get a handy staircase. This is the one Ida will climb up. But will still come down. Or maybe she’ll still climb up to the exit from this level to the new one. The developers are extremely inventive. They were able to make the project extremely varied. That is what makes it so easy to pass.

When the level is completed, the princess is sure to retrieve all sorts of figures. She has to put them back. And you will be helping her in this.

Monument Valley Conclusion

You’ll feel a sense of awe, peace and tranquility as you play through the project. This game from the very first chapter will firmly squeeze you in an incredibly comfortable embrace. You can get through this project in just a few hours. Time will simply fly by. This game is almost perfect. It’s a true pocket wonder. The only shame is that it ends so early.
